Cerise Dreams

I made this dreamy beauty while driving through the Canadian Praries. It is inspired by the colours and textures found during fall harvest time: the browns of the freshly harvested fields, the pinks of the spectacular Prarie sunsets, and the deep colours of the changing of the season. This piece is dramatic with lots of soft and squishy texture, and draws the eye wherever it hangs.

• Created with natural Icelandic wool, naturally dyed romney wool, cotton, velvet, silk, merino, and banana silk fibres

• 14" hoop

 Many of the fibres used were handcrafted and purchased from other small businesses and includes my own hand spun yarn.

I have tried to represent the colours as accurately as possible, but due to differences in screens, the colours may look a little different in person.
